Keller Auditorium is thrilled to welcome STOMP for their big 30th celebration — a full-on spectacle of movement, rhythm, noise, and precision. This show has toured across more than 50 countries, been featured on Broadway, and performed for millions of people around the world — and now they’re bringing the thunder right here to Portland. This isn't some simple “clap along” performance. No. This is eight artists on stage in absolute sync, turning pure physical energy into real music — making beats from the most unexpected places and turning literal junk into art. The STOMP dudes go way back to the early '90s in Brighton, England — where creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas dreamed up the idea of making rhythm out of real life. Fast forward a few decades, and the show has become a full-on cultural landmark. It’s picked up Obie and Drama Desk Awards, performed in the West End and on Broadway, and inspired generations of kids to bang on kitchenware until their parents made them stop.
