STOMP will be marking a new tour as it celebrates its 30th anniversary, with a special stop at Keller Auditorium on November 29. Throughout its history, the eight-piece troupe has experiemented with new instruments as they create new material that brings unexpected music from everyday objects. They've used garbage cans, brooms, matchboxes, Zippo lighters, and many more unusual thingamobobs.
Three decades since Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas kicked off the Stomp revolution, this theatrical production has transformed ordinary stuff into extraordinary percussions that create the most unique music that people have heard. It's both captivating and entertaining, and they've been at it for three decades now. Stomp has become one of the most loved touring shows, shaking the hearts of audiences around the globe.
Pulsating beats through brooms, garbage cans, lighters, paper bags, tubes, kitchen sinks, and many more, it's an auditory mash that simply works. With overwhelming success, Stomp has received critical acclaim and numerous accolades including an Emmy win + four nominations, an Academy award nomination, and many mre.

Cresswell shares that they "make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound," combining unique percussions, amazing choreography, and comedy. "The creators modify and update every 2-3 years and also within the lifespan of a show, some performers will come and go, though others have been in for about 20 years," Performer Ivan Salazar, who has been with Stomp for 11 years now, shared with Fairfax Times. "And we’re always doing things to make things new and fresh."
