What to expect at events

The Keller Auditorium blends into downtown Portland, OR. It’s located directly across the street from Keller Fountain Park, a peaceful area of tranquility among the buildings.

The outside of the theater is distinctive, with its gray columns and frontage outshone by the large reflective windows. Depending on the production in residence at the time, you will also see banners advertising upcoming performances.

Once inside, you will pass through a brief security check before entering the main auditorium. With its rich red furnishings and golden glowing ceiling, the Keller Auditorium has a very classic theater vibe. Combined with one of the West Coast’s largest stages, you’ll immediately feel part of an extensive production.

The theater-style seating and good natural acoustics make the Keller Auditorium ideal for Broadway and live musical performances. Many of these are performed by resident companies, including:

• Broadway in Portland
• Oregon Ballet Theatre
• Portland Opera.

You’ll also find several seasonal productions — especially around Christmas time. Most shows open between 30-60 minutes before they begin, with evening shows beginning between 7-8 pm and matinees at 2 pm.

No matter the show, the venue retains the relaxed and welcoming feel of Portland. There’s no formality here — simply arrive in plenty of time and make yourself comfortable for the show.
