The best who-done-it board game now has a stage adaptation and if you were a lover of playing Clue with friends and family, this performance is not only going to be fun and exciting, but it's going to bring a sense of warm familiarity that is guaranteed to warm your heart. Based on the beloved 1985 Paramount Pictures movie and the classic Hasbro board game, this Second North American Tour delivers an 80-minute, non-stop comedic thrill ride. As you would expect from a play based on a board game with different potential endings, this performance also has unique twists that it can go. Even if you saw Clue - Live On Stage at different cities, this performance here in Portland, Oregon could be totally unique.
Trying to create a storyline based on a board game isn't the most straightforward thing to do. One of the initial successes that the playwrights got right, though, is including some of the characters from the game as well as the classic locations where the murder may have taken place. Sorry for spilling the beans with spoilers, but then again, if you're checking out this performance, there's a strong likelihood you're familiar with the concept behind Clue, the board game! The talented touring cast brings these important characters to life, with performers like Sarah Mackenzie Baron as Mrs. White, Adam Brett as Wadsworth, Camille Capers as Miss Scarlet, Nate Curlott as Colonel Mustard, TJ Lamando as Mr. Green, Madeline Raube as Mrs. Peacock and Kyle Yampiro as Professor Plum. Not only do the characters from the game show up, but so do their costumes from the source material. The production team has made slight tweaks with costume design, but there is an attempt to keep it faithful to the source material. It's not like you're going to be wondering who Colonel Mustard is when he appears!
There's always a perfect place when it comes to the premium seats for a theater show. Usually Clue - Live On Stage is very close to the fan and they're looking for a sense of viewer participation and that could mean that sitting close to the stage is more engaging than it is for other plays. That said, the issue with the front rows of the theater is that you lose the full view of the stage, which you're going to require to see the clues a lot better! Find a spot in the center of Keller Auditorium, several rows back from the stage, for the best views of this show. With seating for nearly 3,000 guests in the orchestra, mezzanine and balcony sections, there are plenty of great vantage points to catch every hilarious moment.
Spots inside Keller Auditorium are starting at $21. With performances on Saturday, March 6, 2027 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM (doors open approximately one hour before showtime), this is your chance to experience one of the most entertaining shows in the Broadway in Portland series. Be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link right away because at those costs, they might not last long.
