The most beloved who-done-it board game now has a live performance, and if you were a lover of playing Clue with friends and family, this performance is not only going to be a blast, but it's going to evoke a sense of warm familiarity that is bound to warm your heart. As you would anticipate from a play based on a board game with multiple possible outcomes, this performance also has different ways that it can go. Even if you saw Clue - Live On Stage at previous venues, this performance here in Portland, Oregon could be totally unique.
Trying to create a plot based on a board game isn't the most straightforward thing to do. One of the key elements that the playwrights got right, though, is including some of the characters from the game as well as the iconic scenes where the murder could've been committed. Sorry for spilling the beans with spoilers, but then again, if you're looking into this performance, there's a high probability you're familiar with the concept behind Clue, the board game! Not only do the stars from the game take the stage, but so do their outfits from the classic board game. The production team has added creative touches with costume design, but there is an effort to keep it faithful to the source material. It's not like you're going to be wondering who Colonel Mustard is when he appears!
There's always a perfect place when it comes to the optimal seats for a theater show. Usually Clue - Live On Stage is intimate to the audience, and they're encouraging a sense of viewer participation, and that could mean that sitting close to the stage is preferable than it is for other plays. Still, the problem with the front rows of the theater is that you don’t fully catch the wider perspective of the stage, which you're going to want to see the clues a lot better! Select a spot in the heart of Keller Auditorium, a bit back from the stage, for the best views of this show.
Spots inside Keller Auditorium are starting at $128. Be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link now because at those costs, they won’t stick around.
